Healing Energy Massage

Healing Energy Massage will relieve your pain and stress, balancing your energy, and promote self-integration. Using both soft touch and deep tissue stimulation, we work on many layers of your being simultaneously. You may feel an increased sense of vitality; a freshness or lightness in your body; a deep inner peace, clarity and focus.

Hot Stone Therapy

Hot Stone Therapy integrates Healing Energy Massage, Reflexology and massage with smooth heated stones. The heat from the stones allows your muscles to deeply relax and release their tension back into the Earth, leaving you in a state of total relaxation.

Healing Sound Therapy

This healing session will immerse you in the primordial vibrations of the Australian didgeridoo, and the meditative harmonics of Tibetan singing bowls. Sound Therapy is a powerful healing medium, as the sound waves penetrate and cleanse us to the core of our beings.

Guided Meditative Hike

This meditative hike will depart from our Gaia practice space, in the mountains overlooking the Copan ruins. We will journey mindfully to the sacred Mayan site called Los Sapos, as you maintain your awareness in the eternal and everchanging present.

Temazcal

The ritual steam bath the Maya still use to purify body and soul.

Saunas are traditionally used for spiritual purification in many cultures, and on a physical level loosen and relax tired muscles, making them the perfect compliment to an Energetic Healing Massage or a yoga class.

In the Maya world the Temazcal is believed to be the home of the Mother of the Gods, deity of all fecundity and patroness of midwives and healers--indeed, the Temazcal is an appropriate place for birthing to take place. As a symbol of the Holy Mother Earth, the ceremony of the Temazcal bath is used to reconnect humans with the natural cycles of life and regeneration. The Temazcal can produce very agreeable steam scented with fragrant plants that have a long history of promoting health and well being among the Maya. The Temascal is used to both detoxify and clean the body’s epidermis as well as to symbolically embark on a spiritual regeneration, like a seed that sprouts up vigorously after its sojourn in the underworld.

These spa journeys can be coupled with locally grown organic noni tea, and followed by a traditional nutritious meal.
